Nærme - Nasjonalballetten

A cinematic ballet experience - Live from the Main Stage of the Opera 

For the first time, a ballett premiere will be streamed from the Opera. Nærme is a collaboration between two directors, two choreographs and ten ballett dancers. You can exprience this, free, in your living room on June 11th. 

Film meets ballett in this live streamet event Nærme on June 11th. Ten of the National Balletts dancers gives you newly created ballett, and the two directors Emilie Norenberg and Haakon Mathisen will create their own cinematic expression of the dance. During the digital festival "Somewhere Else", they created unusual impressions of the concerts with Aurora and Sigrid. 

The Opera comes to life 

An intimate ballett with six powerfull solos is what we get in Distant Closeness. Lucas Limas work is about letting go and saying goodbye - to be able to start over. In 5 Ballerinas by Melissa Hough, four women and one man dances to baroque music. In each of their tutus, they will give oss gracious and challenging toe dancing  - with humorous undertones. A cinematic play shows us how the Opera comes to life after three months of no shows. 

Cameras on stage 

The stream is produces by Einar Film & Stories. When the cameras join on stage, the dance gets to express on a different level than when its beeing filmed from the audience.
