Claire Enders, Christopher Thomson and their family invite you to an unforgettable concert from Norwegian violinist Mari Samuelsen performing the works of Max Richter paired with Johann Sebastian Bach, Arvo Part, and Uno Helmmersson. During these unprecedented times, we turn to music to lift our spirits and to allow for meditation and reflection. The music of Max Richter is sublime and we are thrilled that Mari Samuelsen can perform for us this evening.

Imaginative and eloquent, violinist Mari Samuelsen is known for her breath-taking artistry and adventurous approach to programming and presentation. With a technique that blends virtuosity and entrancing musical finesse, Mari presents an innovative musical universe, blending older works with new works – a true artist of the current times.

She has appeared as soloist and recitalist on many of the world’s leading stages, including New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, Berlin’s Konzerthaus and Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Berliner Philharmonie and Hamburg Elbphilharmonie and as well as dominating the classical charts her most recent album, MARI, was also number 1 in the popular charts in her home county of Norway.

Performing live from Oslo in the Ekeberg restaurant, which is owned and run by Christian Ringnes, who is also the owner of Mari’s exquisite violin, Mari will be joined by musical friends who will be performing a number of new arrangements of the works of Max Richter as well some additional pieces.
