About the stream

Sara Fjeldvær and her band invites us to E.C. Dahls brewery in Trondheim, Norway. In a beautiful room with huge copper boilers that used to hold the very gold of their town, Fjeldvær is performing a couple of songs form her latest album "Stars" dropping the 9th of February. The setting is intimate and casual, like the music she makes. "Stars" consists of songs describing love, loneliness, relations, our sometimes cold society, and asks how different we really are. This livestream kicks off their album tour in Norway, and will be a unique concert-ish experience for all the people watching!

About the artist

Singer-/songwriter Sara Fjeldvær grew up on a small island on the coast of Norway. Raised in a house full of instruments in a small community, inspiration was no shortage. Spending her early teens listening to Eva Cassidy, Susanne Sundfør and her fathers piano playing, Fjeldvær started writing songs from an early age. She later discovered The Who, King Crimson and Bob Dylan among others, and went on to study Performing Jazz at The Music Conservatory at NTNU, expanding her songwriting further. Her music is much shaped by the musicians of the band whom she has played with for many years. Her songwriting is nuanced, bold and intimate, characterized with warm instrumentation of her distinct band. All of her releases have been recorded in Nyhavna Studio in Trondheim, produced by Mathias Angelhus, and released on her own label Fjordgata Records.
