Welcome to Nygrenda. A tiny, hidden village in the rural part of Grimstad in southern Norway. This is where I live and work. All my music is created here in my studio at "Nygrenda Vev & Dur", a workspace for art and music on an old farm that I have with visual artist Elin Igland. As a collab with Vierlive, I`ll invite you to a one-off intimate happening with Rural Tapes, live-streamed from Elins textile workshop in the barn. This concert will be a part of the release tour for my new album "Inner space music". Live, Rural Tapes is a quartet with Lars Løberg Tofte, Sigurd Thomassen, Øystein Braut and myself. Hope you'll join us for this special event.

About Rural Tapes:
Rural Tapes is the moniker of the Norwegian producer and multi-instrumentalist Arne Kjelsrud Mathisen, also known from I Was A King, Heroes & Zeros and The No Ones. His self-titled debut from last year received rave reviews from all over the world, peaking with Mojo describing his music as a hybrid between Kraftwerk, Air, Tortoise and Serge Gainsbourgh.
Rural Tapes has announced his brand new album "Inner space music", out November 18th via Smuggler Music. The new album features guest appearances from The Dream Syndicate frontman Steve Wynn, R.E.M. members Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey, PJ Harvey saxophonist Terry Edwards and Gary Olson from The Ladybug Transistor.
