A new acquaintance for many, but soon to be well known – Overcity is worth keeping an eye on.
 
Overcity is a brand-new band that will release its first songs in autumn 2022. The band consists of the talented and thirsty musicians known from Fieh and Mall Girl: Ola Øverby (drums), Iver A. Tandsether (guitar) and Christian Franzén (vocals).
 
Associations of a light summer breeze flowing over sun-warmed bodies quickly emerge when we put Overcity on the stereo. With an edgy guitar, catchy melodies and a seductive vocal, we are drawn into a world where the sun never sets.
 
The songs flourish with varied and exciting twists that encourages the listeners' attention. In addition, the album was recorded on analogue tape, which contributes to the authentic old-school sound. 
 
The band is inspired by beer, ladies, and joy, and none other than Frank Sinatra, Todd Terje, Tame Impala, The Beatles and the Beach Boys. In the soundscape there are hints of Thundercat, Blood Orange and Toro y moi, but Overcity lives well on its own melodies in the indie-pop landscape.
