Experience the immediate intimacy of the first livestreamed performance from Dansens Hus. Metasexy is a dynamic collaboration between choreographer Ines Belli, Film director Haakon Mathisen and VIERLIVE.

Metasexy is a performance that takes a closer look on the portrayal and perception of the female figure in today´s pop culture. Through a complex and unpredictable web of references, choreographer Ines Belli explores what possibilities there is to deviate from the expectations and norms of femininity. The performance navigates through references from jazz dance, commercial dance and pop culture in her negotiations between body and gender, the object and subject: the one who performs and the one who is onlooking. In her negotiations, in these gaps, she creates a free space in which she can add new premises for the gaze, the perception and the experience of femininity.

Ines Belli is a young dance artist concerned with how we can see and think in news ways around norms and structures in society, applying her choreography as a critical tool. By rearranging and confusing the spectators views and the performer´s practice, she creates strong aesthetic expressions and complex chorographical structures. Her first Show, Postmodern Cool, was shown at Dansens Hus in may 2019.

Haakon Mathisen, co-founder of Vierlive, is a film director with a broad experience in music videos, documentaries and experimental livestreams. He has previously directed livestreams for Aurora and The national ballet and has won several international awards for his music videos for artists such as Bendik, and Sandra Kolstad.
