It can seem as if Frida Ånnevik always has been a part of the Norwegian music scene. With her distinctive voice and original lyrics, she has become a favorite both with critics and audiences. The musician, composer and writer call her own music “pop in open surroundings”, with references to folk, jazz and soul. She has been one to watch ever since her debut album in 2010.
Ånneviks music is the perfect music to listen to at home, at the same time as her concerts always leave a mark. After seven albums and three Spellemann awards, she has an enormous catalogue of quality music to pick from. The last album, “Andre sanger” (“other songs”) from 2019, is a collection of her Norwegian interpretation of more and less known songs of other artists. Songs by artists from Spice Girls to Astrid S gets Ånneviks soft Norwegian vocals, and the album received top reviews.
About the concert
From the desolate Oslo Concert Hall we get to enter Frida Ånnevik’s concert universe. An intimate home-concert from Norway`s grand concert hall is definetely a once in a lifetime experience. Together with director Mattis Goksøyr we get a unique new experience of Frida`s music and a sense of being alone in the world with it in the majestic hall.
About the director
Mattis Goksøyr directs commercials, short films and fiction. He has been shown both internationally and nationally and is now represented by Willy Nikkers in Norway. He was nominated in 2018 at the OsloPix award for Best Music Video for Himmelblå.
