Ableton Live - Velocity and note chance

About the experience

Jonas Barsten plays drums with Alan Walker and is Norways only Ableton Certified Trainer.

In collaboration with Ableton, Jonas brings you a series of in depth videos about the new features in Live 11 – and how to use them.

Velocity and note chance in Ableton Live.

In Live you can define the probability of a MIDI note happening, so in theory a loop would never repeat.

You can also choose a range for random velocity for each note. This means that for every MIDI note we can say: use a random velocity within “this” range.
